HF Mencap provides a range of services, and campaigns with people with learning disabilities and their families. We aim to ensure good quality provision in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Our organisation is one of the leading local independent charities for children and adults with learning disabilities, and their families/carers, in West London.
What do we do?
HF Mencap offers the following services to young people and adults with learning disabilities:
- My Life: Out and About - person centred 1:1 support to access services and live independently
- Safety Net Youth - works with young people aged 13-25 to maintain friendships and independence
- HF Mencap Support Activities - provides a safe and relaxed space for our members to hang out with their friends and promote their independence
- Parents Active - a support network for families of disabled children (0-25) to enable parents to gain and share information both locally and nationally, make new friends and, most importantly, realise that they are not alone.
