Holistic health charity offering complementary therapies & counselling for people with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses.
They aims to bring about improvements in the way that people deal with some of the more challenging health issues, particularly those from marginalised and deprived groups. They endeavour to help people develop a better quality of life by providing a range of holistic therapies and support to meet people’s individual needs.
The Helios Centre sees an average of 140 clients per week delivering 160 one hour therapy sessions. They also run support groups and provide advocacy for clients in need. Their clients are diverse, with a high percentage who are LGBT and from an ethnic minority.
