Cllr Patricia Quigley

The Mayor of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is Councillor Patricia Quigley.

She was confirmed at the annual meeting of the council on 24 May 2023.

Patricia is a councillor for Hammersmith Broadway.

Mayors biography

Patricia’s heritage is Irish (2nd generation Irish), she was born in London, her parents came from Ireland.

Patricia has lived in Hammersmith since 1970, she attended a SEND school in Swiss Cottage and then went to West London College for 2 years. 

Patricia was first elected to office in May 2018 and was cabinet assistant for Health and Social Care. 

In May 2022 she was elected for a second term and became the Lead member for Inclusive Community Engagement and Coproduction and was also appointed as ex-officio to the cabinet working with cabinet members on coproduction and the cost-of-living crisis.

Before becoming a councillor, she was a founding member of the Disabled Peoples Commission, and together with the 9 other Hammersmith and Fulham Disabled residents, wrote the ground-breaking report, “Nothing About Disabled People Without Disabled People” which formed the blueprint for the council’s Coproduction policy.

Patricia’s agenda for her mayoral year is Inclusion and Equity.

Dad’s House

Dad's House Helping Dads...be Dads

Dads House Founder established Dads House to help single dads with the practicalities of raising their children alone.

They offer a variety of services for dads including twice weekly pro bono law clinics, life coaching aimed at those with level 1 depression and is orientated on listening and talking therapies.

Dads House also runs a buddy service which provides a one-to-one consultation to support fathers. Over the last 12 years Dads House has helped over 10,000 fathers.

DanceWest

DanceWest’s mission is dance for everyone and everybody and to enable everyone to have access to dance. It is an award-winning charity which has pioneered high-quality dance programmes since 2014.

It offers a creative response to issues including poor health, socio-economic disadvantage, and unequal access to physical activity. It provides free and low-cost dance, health and wellbeing activities co-designed with participants and partners within the community, helping to transform the health and wellbeing of vulnerable and diverse communities.

Its sole aim is to keep the community healthy and happy by participating in dance and engages 36,000 people in 70 weekly classes across seven west London boroughs.
